When submitting an excuse note for your child's absence, please include the date of absence and kindly print his/her full name and grade on a a sheet of paper or use the Notice of Absence form on the For Parents page.
All applications for Edison Regional Gifted Center must go through the Chicago Public School's Office of Academic Enhancement. Neither Edison Regional Gifted Center nor its Principal, Saundra Gray has a decision in the admission process.
Applications for the 2010-2011 academic school year were due Friday, December 18, 2009. Applicants will be notified of testing and acceptance details by mail.
Community Alert
1. In the last week there have been two allegations by citizens of suspicion of inappropriate contact / communication of a child.
The suspicious individuals are described as:
Case #1: Male White / 30's / Shoulder length brown curly hair / wearing a black fleece zippered jacket Driving a light green taxi with black & beige checkered band around cab. Last seen in the area of the 4600 North block of Elston Ave. (Feb 23rd @ 3:15PM) ______________________________________________________________
Case #2: Male White / 25-30 / Approximately 6'00", 175 lbs. / Wearing a white hooded sweatshirt & black silky jogging pants.
Driving a white 4 door vehicle. Last seen in the 4600 North block of Kenneth Ave. (Feb 24th @ 8:50PM)
